I joined in Ishihara lab since October 2017 as a MEXT scholarship doctoral candidate. We have many foreigners’ researchers with diverse research backgrounds in Ishihara lab. Catalysts and battery are two main research topics. I focused on the NOx removal catalyst during my doctoral study. The professors and seniors in Ishihara lab always provide me help and professional suggestions on my research. Everyone in Ishihara lab is so friendly and we shared many good memories here. If you are intended to join an international research group with a densely academic atmosphere, please must come to visit Ishihara lab.
It is my honor to be able to join Ishihara Lab since 2018 as a research student and master student. I worked on solid oxide fuel cells research. Although I started with little knowledge on this subject, under the guidance of Prof. Ishihara with his vast knowledge and with the help and discussion with the seniors and lab members, I feel I learned so much within this 2.5 years. In addition, the lab is well-equipped with high tech instruments so we can conduct experiment with peace of mind. Ishihara lab also works on wide range of research such as catalyst and batteries, so if you are interested in working on these researches and seeking to leverage your knowledge and skills as a researcher, I would recommend joining Ishihara Lab.
My last one and a half year at Ishihara lab have been a wonderful experience. Everyone in the lab is super friendly and supportive both in research and outside the lab. Also because of the large number of international students in the lab, I find language is less of the problem here. Ishihara lab is equipped with variety of high technology equipment that allow different topics of research such as catalytic reaction, battery or fuel cell. Thanks to guidance from professors and seniors, I was able to graduate safely as bachelor student. If anyone who is interested in our lab, come and join us.
